Week of sports February 2

Heat

The Heat continue their mediocre, ugly play this week.  The week started off positive with a solid defensive, low scoring win over the Celtics 83-75.  Two days later, they suffered an ugly loss to a horrible Pistons team, 91-108.  To make matters worse, the Heat lost to the Timberwolves last night after an embarrassing inbounds play that involved 4th year player Norris Cole, and an emerging rookie Hassan Whiteside.  The Heat we're down by 1 with 40 seconds to go and Norris Cole makes a horrific mistake.  Link to video http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/miami-heat/heat-blog/sfl-miami-heat-norris-cole-s020505-htmlstory.html The heat would eventually lose by 1 after the horrible mistake.  That is the last thing the Heat need right now while sitting at the 8th spot in the East.

Blackhawks

Blackhawk player Patrick Kane had a great All Star appearance, appearing in both the game and the skills competition.  He won the accuracy competition, easily out performing the competition.  The Blackhawks first game back was against the lesser Minnesota Wild.  They were shut out 3-0 after giving up 2 goals in the first period and 1 in the second.  However, you can't really blame Crawford, the goalie, in this game.  The hawks defense was abysmal, he was being shot at all game and the power plays didn't help.  Also he got no scoring from his offense, as the Wild's goalie Dubnyk ended the game with a shutout and 24 overall saves.  Hopefully, the Hawks can bounce back with a big win against the Jets on Friday.
